Phil Seymour came on the scene with a Top 20 hit with the Dwight Twilley Band — "I'm On Fire" in 1975. After two albums with his Tulsa bandmate, Sincerely (1976) and Twilley Don't Mind (1977), Phil decided to go solo. Initially he struggled to find a foothold, but once the new wave hit America, the Phil Seymour Band stormed Hollywood and became one of the hottest acts on the circuit. Signed to Neil Bogart's Boardwalk label, by 1981 Phil was riding high at #8 on Billboard's Hot 100 with the self-penned classic "Precious To Me."
These legendary concert recordings — now available as part of the PS Archive Series — feature two different bands: first Phil Seymour & the Feel, then the outfit assembled to support his debut album. Highlights include Phil's version of the John Prine/Phil Spector song "If You Don't Want My Love," "Baby Come Back" (the Equals song), Dwight Twilley's "Looking For The Magic," Phil's own "Baby It's You," and Bobby Fuller's "Let Her Dance" — both versions.
